Prof dr hab n med Huber.png

Prof. Juliusz Huber, MD, PhD, DSc

Professor Huber is the Head of the Department of Movement Organ Pathophysiology at Poznan University of Medical Sciences. His knowledge and experience are truly invaluable.

His specialties include:

  • clinical neurophysiology

  • experimental neurophysiology

  • neuroanatomy

  • neurobiology

In his scientific work, he studies the organization of neural centers, conducts research on muscle function, and rehabilitates patients with motor dysfunction. He has led or co-conducted over 65 research projects!

Since 2013, he has also been involved in the Polish Academy of Kids project, giving lectures to children aged 6-12.

Dr. Agnieszka Wiertel-Krawczuk, PhD

 

Dr. Agnieszka Wiertel-Krawczuk is a dedicated researcher and practitioner in the field of neurophysiology and rehabilitation. She works at the Poznan University of Medical Sciences. Her extensive knowledge and clinical expertise bring a unique perspective to advancing patient care.

 

Her specialties include:

Dr. Wiertel-Krawczuk’s scientific work focuses on assessing and managing pain and musculoskeletal dysfunctions, often using neurophysiological methods like electromyography (EMG) and sensory/motor evoked potentials. Dr. Piotr Janusz, MD, PhD, DSc

 

Dr. Janusz is a graduate of the Poznan University of Medical Sciences and a specialist in orthopedics and trauma of the musculoskeletal system. He works at the Clinic of Spine and Pediatric Orthopedics in Poznań, where he focuses on treating postural defects, congenital and acquired spinal deformities, as well as lower limb conditions.

His expertise lies in idiopathic and congenital scoliosis, with the genetic basis of these conditions being the subject of his doctoral thesis. He earned his habilitation degree for a series of studies on the effects of Scheuermann's disease on spinal biomechanics.

 

Dr. Janusz also completed a one-year fellowship at the University of Illinois Orthopedic Department in Chicago and has extensive international experience in treating spinal and limb deformities.

 

He is the author of numerous publications and an experienced surgeon performing modern corrective spinal and limb surgeries. In his approach to patients, he is known for his kindness, patience, and full dedication to their care.

Dr. Bartosz Sokół, MD, PhD, DSc

Dr. Sokół serves as the Head of the Neurosurgery Department at Józef Struś Multidisciplinary City Hospital in Poznań. His impressive background includes positions at the Neurosurgery and Neurotraumatology Department of Poznan University of Medical Sciences and the Neurosurgery Department of H. Święcicki Clinical Hospital in Poznań. Since 2012, he has also held the role of adjunct at the Chair and Department of Neurosurgery at Poznan University of Medical Sciences.

Dr. Sokół has broadened his expertise through international experience, having worked at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust at the University of Liverpool and the Hurstwood Park Neurological Centre in Brighton, UK. Dr. Jeremi Kościński, MD, PhD

 

Dr. Kościński is a specialist in neurosurgery with many years of experience in brain, head, spine, and peripheral nerve surgery. His knowledge and skills have been honed through his work at the Department of Neurosurgery and Neurotraumatology at the Poznan University of Medical Sciences, where he earned his Doctor of Medical Sciences degree, as well as his practice at the Hospital in Puszczykowo and Sportopedica in Poznań. 

 

His professional interests are exceptionally broad and include:

    •    Microsurgical brain tumor operations using the Keyhole Surgery technique
